Training on the glacier

The highest skiing region in the Alps has guaranteed snow – even in the summer. This means the area can offer perfect training conditions for national skiing and snowboarding teams. The athletes in the alpine disciplines train on specially groomed pistes, and freestylers also prepare themselves for competitions here, on our mogul slopes and in the Snowpark Zermatt. The summer ski area in the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is a meeting point for the world’s winter sports stars of today and tomorrow.

The tariffs for piste reservations include the following services:

• Ski passes for the team include the trip from Zermatt to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise as well as lifts and allotted training pistes in the glacier skiing area at Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
• Transport of gate poles and skis/snowboards from the valley station to the skiing area and back.

Also, additional requirements such as jumps, starting ramps or special transport of heavy objects can be undertaken. These must be ordered in advance at the piste reservation counter, by e-mail from pistenreservation@zbag.ch or by telephone. Please note that these services are not included in the piste reservation and incur additional costs.
