Matterhorn testcenter

With the Matterhorn Testcenter, Zermatt Bergbahnen AG emphasises its passion and support for snow sports. In addition to perfectly groomed slopes, a top selection of equipment can be found directly on the slopes. The modern infrastructure with the large selection of skis turns the Matterhorn Testcenter into something really unique. 

From the latest ski models for the coming season, to a high-tech grinding machine for perfect edges and bases, to the history of skis and the Stöckli brand, a visit to the new Matterhorn Testcenter on Trockener Steg is an exciting experience for curious winter sports guests.

Stöckli skis are one of a kind and are made from the highest end materials such as wood, bamboo and carbon fiber. Have you always wanted to know how Stöckli skis are made? You are always welcome to visit the Stöckli ski manufacturing facility in Malters, near Lucerne. Find out more about our ski manufacturing facility tours here. 

The Stöckli Test Center is open daily from the end of October through the end of April  with the exception of Wednesday (our day off). The only thing you need to bring our ski boots and poles. Have you been won over by a particular model? Then you can buy you new Stöckli skis directly at Bayard Sport, the official retail outlet in Zermatt, or at other Stöckli retail outlets all around Switzerland.

• You can swap skis for testing as often as you like from/to Trockener Steg
• You need a valid ski pass

Ski test offer:

• CHF 39.00* for 1/2 day
• CHF 59.00* for 1 day
• CHF 118.00* for 2 days

* The cost will be deducted from the price of a purchase of skis.

The skitest on the Theodul Glacier in Zermatt is probably one of the most beautiful experiences in the high alpine region. The Matterhorn Testcentre offers guests the opportunity to test the latest ski models from 18 ski brands in a unique setting. A ski-in & ski-out experience in a league of it's own.

The modern premise with the Matterhorn as an imposing backdrop invites you to do more than just test the latest ski models. In the spacious room, where the official ski test takes place from October to November, events, meetings or incentives of various kinds can be held from January to September, where up to 450 people can enjoy a unique experience - including a view of the Matterhorn - depending on the type of seating.
