Trockener Steg, at 2939 metres, has a very special meaning for visitors to the Matterhorn Paradise. It is a pivotal point where different worlds meet and mingle. In summer the ski slopes end there and the hiking trails begin. Skiers and hikers cross paths. And the view reaches from Mattertal to the heights of the Matterhorn.
And why is that? Because Trockener Steg is the boarding point for the cable car that brings you up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Way up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, to Europe’s highest mountain station at 3883 metres. Even better: the ultramodern 3S cableway carries even more visitors at record speeds up to the popular peak.
