Twice the thrill of the high altitude, twice the buzz of standing on the mountain top. The Peak2Peak ticket will take you and your favourite hiking companion up to the must-see vantage points in Zermatt – the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and the spectacular long-distance view from the Gornergrat ridge. An alpine paradise awaits you at an altitude of 3883 metres, accessed by the highest cableway in Europe. At the top there is a 360-degree viewing platform from which a staggering 38 four-thousand-metre peaks and 14 glaciers can be admired.
One highlight follows another on the Gornergrat. The stunning panorama will take your breath away, and if that weren’t enough, there’s another treat in store at the Gornergrat Kulmhotel, which offers culinary delights at 3100 metres above sea level.
Another treat – taking some amazing selfies with one of Switzerland’s most iconic photo subjects in the background. An absolute must.
The easy way up to the highest mountain station in Europe
First visit the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, where you will be greeted by extraordinary views of a stunning alpine landscape. Then take the cable car to the Riffelberg, followed by an idyllic ride on the rack-and-pinion railway to the Gornergrat. When you have had your fill of the breath-taking mountain scenery the lift will take you comfortably back down to the centre of Zermatt. If you prefer, you can also do the trip in reverse, of course.
