Premium cabins with high-concept design
Sparkling crystals coat the entire outer skin of the special cabins and also adorn the interiors. The unique design of the Matterhorn Glacier Ride l & ll was created by none other than Pininfarina, the design studio known around the world for its work with Maserati and Ferrari. Comfortable seats, inspired by car design and adorned with crystals, ceiling lighting that resembles a starry sky, and the panoramic windows ensure an unforgettable ride to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
Luxury meets Thrill
During the journey to the highest mountain station in Europe, the special gondolas reveal their spectacular view. A few minutes into the journey, the previously opaque glass floor will clear in seconds to offer a dramatic view down onto the glacier landscape. This effect is made possible by an active laminated glass sheet which turns from milky white to transparent under the effect of an electric current.
